My vegan story.

Hi! My name is Eleni. I’m a 26 year old foodie from Wellington, New Zealand and I love sharing delicious vegan recipes in the hope to inspire others to eat more plants.

I became vegan five years ago while working in a vegan restaurant in France and I have never looked back. You usually hear vegans say going veggie was easy for them because they β€˜never really liked meat anyway’, but I was an avid-meat lover for the first 20 years of my life and also incredibly fussy! When I learnt about the environmental impact of meat and dairy and, of course, the ethical reasons to go vegan, it was a no-brainer to make the switch. Because I was working in a vegan restaurant at the time and surrounded by many other vegans and vegetarians, I learnt quickly that vegan food can be freaking delicious. However that is not the case for everyone and that is why I created Veganella.

I started Veganella as a way to show others just how easy and delicious being vegan can be and to inspire people to eat less animal and more plant. My hope is to help make being vegan easy in this non-vegan world.

I create UGC content for brand I align with. Currently I'β€˜m working with Raw Nature, Matakana Superfoods and Healthy Me.

NZ Vegan Magazine Recipe Contributor
